Report: Eagles star RT Lane Johnson likely out 4-6 weeks with Lisfranc injury

Lane Johnson has had a tough 2025 season. He left the Week 3 Rams game with a neck injury, the Week 4 Buccaneers game with a shoulder injury, the Week 10 Packers game with an ankle injury, and most recently, the Week 11 Lions game with a foot injury.

According to a report from Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the foot injury suffered against the Lions is a dreaded Lisfranc sprain, which will keep Johnson out for 4-6 weeks.

Sources to me and @RapSheet: #Eagles RT Lane Johnson suffered a Lisfranc sprain in his foot that should sideline him around 4-6 weeks. Johnson is gathering more medical opinions but the hope is that timeline holds and it’s not a season-ending injury for the perennial All-Pro. pic.twitter.com/i6RW0VgY7n

Expect the Eagles to place Johnson on injured reserve.

Whenever Johnson has had to come out of games this season, he has been replaced by Fred Johnson, who was the team's swing tackle in 2024 but left in free agency last offseason. He returned via trade just before the start of the 2025 season. Fred Johnson has played as reasonably well as anyone could have hoped for in Lane Johnson's absence. Perhaps the bigger concern is if the Eagles will need to count on Matt Pryor at any point, should Fred Johnson or Jordan Mailata go down.

Though he has had an assortment of injuries, Lane Johnson had yet to miss a game, and his elite level of play was never compromised. Since 2016, the Eagles are 12-24 when Johnson is out of the lineup.

• 2016: 2-8
• 2017: 1-0
• 2018: 0-1
• 2019: 3-1 (0-1 in the playoffs)
• 2020: 2-7
• 2021: 1-3
• 2022: 1-1
• 2023: 1-0
• 2024: 1-1

However, the bright side is that the Eagles have already played most of the hardest games on their schedule this season.

• Combined record of the teams the Eagles have already played (excluding games against the Eagles): 49-41-2.
• Combined record of their remaining opponents: 32-38-1.

The Eagles' final seven regular-season games:

• Week 12: At Cowboys (3-5-1)
• Week 13: Bears (7-3)
• Week 14: At Chargers (7-4)
• Week 15: Raiders (2-7)
• Week 16: At Commanders (3-8)
• Week 17: At Bills (7-3)

• Week 18: Commanders (3-8)

We'll update as we learn more.
