Joel Embiid, Jared McCain out for Sixers-Cavaliers in second leg of back-to-back, Paul George remains out

Joel Embiid (left knee injury recovery) is out for the Sixers' road battle against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night, according to the team's initial injury report issued during the afternoon. It is not a surprise whatsoever, as Embiid logged a season-high 26 minutes in a loss to the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, Paul George (knee) remains out, as does Jared McCain, designated with left knee injury recovery as well after making his first NBA appearance in over 10 months on Tuesday.

The Sixers have an injury report for tonight's game @ Cleveland:
Joel Embiid – left knee injury recovery – OUT
Paul George – left knee surgery recovery – OUT
Dominick Barlow – right elbow laceration – OUT
Jared McCain – left knee injury recovery – OUT

On top of Embiid, George and McCain, the Sixers will remain without Dominick Barlow, who suffered an elbow laceration on Oct. 25 that required a procedure. Sixers head coach Nick Nurse said on Sunday in Brooklyn that Barlow's injury was not terribly serious, but admitted it has already been more impactful than the team had anticipated. Barlow started at power forward in the team's first two games before leaving their home opener at halftime with the elbow laceration.
