Healthy Recipe: The Best Guacamole

This fresh, flavorful guacamole brings bright citrus, warm spice, and just the right amount of heat to any spread. The Best Guacamole — makes 6 servings

Ingredients:
• 3 avocados, pit and skin removed
• 1 lime, juiced
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon cumin
• 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
• 1/2 medium onion, diced
• 1/2 jalapeño, seeded and sliced
• 2 medium tomatoes, peeled, seeded and chopped
• 1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
• 1 garlic clove, minced

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, place the scooped avocado pulp and lime juice, and toss to coat.
  2. Drain, and reserve the lime juice, after all of the avocados have been coated.
  3. Using a potato masher add the salt, cumin, cayenne and mash.
  4. Fold in the onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and garlic.
  5. Add 1 tablespoon of the reserved lime juice.
