Super Bowl hero Cooper DeJean will trade his Eagles helmet and jersey for a headset and apron this weekend for a stint as a Checkers drive-thru worker.
DeJean will work the window at the fast food chain's location at 9173 Roosevelt Blvd. from 6:30-7 p.m. Saturday. Earlier that day, he's hosting a youth football camp at The Haverford School in Delaware County.

From Friday to Sunday, Checkers will donate $0.33 from every sale of large fries to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia as part of a promotion it is calling "Cooping Up Fries." Also, every 100th customer on Saturday and Sunday will receive a Checkers hat signed by DeJean, while supplies last.
DeJean, the rookie cornerback who intercepted a pass and ran it back for a touchdown to help the Eagles win the Super Bowl in February, was featured going to Checkers in the online series "Rearview," in which NFL players provide postgame commentary from their cars. In the episode, which aired in January, DeJean picked up a meal at the Checkers restaurant on Lehigh Avenue following the Eagles' last regular season game against the New York Giants.
