Temporary flood barriers to be built in Southwest Philly’s low-lying Eastwick neighborhood

Southwest Philadelphia's flood-prone Eastwick neighborhood will get temporary HESCO barriers built to protect the low-lying community from water damage during heavy rain. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is still studying the feasibility of building a 15-foot-tall levee along the banks of Cobbs Creek.
