City Council proposes to rename Taney Street after Philly civil rights activist Caroline LeCount

Taney Street, which runs through sections of North and South Philly, will be renamed LeCourt Street after a Philly civil rights activist if the City Council passes a bill. A group called the Rename Taney Coalition has advocated for the change and engaged with residents over the past four years.
